Andrew:thank you. I think that is what I’m noticing, it’s not opening with the switch, unless I’m misunderstanding you.
TML: thank you for responding as well. I get that pressing the trigger to move the switch, but I was assuming that when you switch to choke it closes off(like it’s suppose to) but when I switch to start that choke should switch to half open. So your saying theirs a choke tab like another piece that’s missing? I will take a look into that. But would that contribute to trigger response and bogging or that a different issue?

I do have that piece but did not take notice of that part was broke off
No the bogging is another issue. I would rebuild the carb. You can get the kit at Napa auto for 12.99 or the stihl dealer for 24.00
And I would use carb cleaner on the carb instead of compressed air.
