Fixing this 028 woodboss for friend.fuel tank has a leak at the cover.is there a good sealant i could to fix this?also needs a new piston and ring.can this saw be upgraded to a 46mm super top end?

I did a wood boss to super swap once and I ended up with too much squish and thus only 125psi compression. I used a white box piston tho so that may be what went wrong.

Yeh that would be odd if they have the same stroke.

The piston was only like $14 on eBay and didn't have a brand name on the box so that might have been what went wrong. My cylinder was good but the rings were stuck so bad I had to get a new piston. I had a super with a locked up crankshaft and bearing and a wood boss with stripped spark plug threads.
