I think i found a problem ive been having with a 032 now going on 5 yrs

I have 4 032 condensors 1 in the bag ,2 out of the bag and 1 right out of a saw

Took them to a friend of mine that has a capacitor tester

He set the instrument and began testing the condensors

the 2 I had loose failed the 1 off a saw failed the 1 in the bag perfect

I know guys are using Wima 's for these saws but there hard to find and 22 to 29 bucks a pop hurts

I never heard anybody really testing a condensor like this

but I know he testing them right

Whats your guys thoughts ?

Anybody else test a condenser?

Yeah, we used to test them all the time where I used to work. We didn't have too many new ones to fail but I guess some did or they wouldn't test them. As far as condensers for a chainsaw I probably wouldn't go to Stihl looking for one. I think just about any small engine condenser would work if it'll physically fit.
