Stihl 036 Pro Tank Vent question

working on an 036 PRO.
it has the gas vent with the round collar, part number 1121 350 5802.
leaks like a sieve.
i can either replace the orange valve on the inside of the tank, part number 1110 353 1600 and hope that solves it...
or
i was wondering if there is a better solution? it looks like the new style vents (look like a distributor) part number 0000 350 5800 would fit over the round collar. also seems like the 044/046 vent parts fit, so i think it will.
does anyone know or have one on the bench to check if the new style vents will fit an 036 Pro?

The new style tank vent is a push in variety and requires a large hole in the tank. It wouldn't work with your saw.

Just replace the Orange rubber part and it should fix your issues.
