Stihl 070 convertible to an 090

That's a shame, I really wanted to build this kit based on the assumption the 90 cylinder would fit. All the reading I've done suggest it would. Thanks I think you've just saved me some aggravation.
They can be done with clone saws, I personally have two Neotec clone 070’s both with 090 cylinder and piston kits, haven’t upgraded clutch yet but speaking from experience I highly recommend it…. I have spun mine a couple times milling some walnut…
 
Good evening. I found out after getting an 090 cylinder that they are not even close and NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.
090 cylinder is totally different and will not even bolt onto the crankcase.
Keep in mind you don't actually have a Stihl 070. You have a chi com knock off of an 070. As such what works with a Stihl might not with a knock off.
