I just need an 076 nametag now. But the guy selling them on ebay seems to be gone now, or his tags are... I guess cheapstihlsawparts has some though?

Thay have them on ebay $5.50 type in stihl name tag

They changed the right case on the 076 added a tab to take the upper bolt hole where the 075 has none I modified the 075 to take the full guard off the 076

my 051 is an early one(051 cast into the air filter cover, riveted on stihl label on recoil...), and no ear on crankcase for the handbrake lever to attached to. mine has the half muffler cover and it doesnt have a place to thread the forward bolt of the full mufler cover into.

so, i guess that when stihl changed the case to accept the handbrake it also added the forward bolt for the full muffler cover.

Stihl only sells the full cover as replacements so I had to make it fit on the 075 I still need a new name tag for the 075 anyone have one. Fred

Looking for OEM main bearings for a 075 My local dealer say they are not available from Stihl Thanks Fred

Your dealer is being lazy or is full of it. Tell him to look at the parts listings in the Dealer Support Manual, not just on Mediacat. The orginal 075 IPL bearings have been superceded by those used in the 076

For the chain brake kit to work, your case must have the ears forward of the oil tank.
