Stihl 08 rebuild

advice please!
Gonna rebuild the 08 after crankcase split. Should I put the bearings on the shaft or in the crankcase housing.
Do I need heat or stick the shaft in the freezer?
Any input, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Heat the housing install bearings in the case halves.

Yup, then freeze the crank when you assemble the case. The crank should slip into the bearings nicely.
