Could have been using a metal piston stop as well.
Try putting the piston in facing the right way, looks like ring ends in a exhaust port to me.
Wrong plug, got too hot too quick. Detonation.
What brand kit was it?And so he fits a new aftermarket piston and gets this result!.....as to what let go first I have no idea, the piston or the bridge on the transfer port?
