I find it very hard to believe an actual dealer doesn't make their own chains. but, yes, you can use the old punched out link if it was carefully punched out. Not idea or usually recommended but will work in a pinch.

i ask the dealer for link or tools to do it also and no
that the same dealer i saw a guy pick up is chainsaw from repaire with loose chain and worn out bar
