I have a 28” with a worn out nose. My question is do I need the 11 or 13 tooth? Bar is 3/8 058.

Count to 11, then 13. How many on the bar?
I knew I’d get that. I forgot to check last night and the bars at home and I’m close to town was going to pick one up.
Get both and return the wrong one?
Not a bad idea I reckon my main question is Will they both work? For instance what if they only had one or the other. If I remember right the lower the teeth the less kickback possibility.
I would think fewer teeth would result in a smaller bar tip - which could reduce kickback potential.
The 13 tooth bar tip has a wider tab where it fits in the end of the bar. They are not inter changeable
Appreciate all the info after going to my local dealer and him telling me basically you have to just buy a whole new bar I was pretty much done with them. I got home and it ended up being an 11 tooth so I ordered one online thanks again.
