stihl fs 80 brush cutter problems

I was given this old fs80 brush cutter. runs ok, but has it's moments. I put in a new plug and new filters. Anyone know where I should start with the carb adjustments to get it started? Since the new fuel filter, I can make it start by pumping the primer bulb, but only at high speed for 10 seconds or so, then it pooches out. I just want to know if I should start with the carb screws in or out or how far or whatever.
Sorry for the stupidity, but since I started having seizures, I have lost alot of my old knowledge of this stuff. Thanks for any help you may be able to be. God bless.

Is this the old model with the primer on the fuel tanl? If so, the low speed (Small) is out no more than 1 turn, and the hi speed (large), is out 2 turns.
