Stihl ms 460 bar plate

I just bought a used Stihl MS460 and the bar plate needs replacing. There was only the inner plate, should there
be two plates? Saw is in good shape just need those plated.

One inner plate, but there were two styles if you’re looking at an IPL. I prefer the style that’s a loose fit over the bar studs and is held on by a tiny screw.

The clutch cover should have two nylon guides in it if there is no steel guide plate used on the outer side of the bar. Last time I bought the inner bar plate it was part # 1128 664 1001.

Thanks guys. I am going to my Stihl store to day and buy a new inner plate. May ask them what they show on the parts list for a MS460.

The Stihl dealer had the inner plate and said there was no outer plate on my MS460. Now i am going to remove the clutch to see if the
oil pump gear needs replacing. This saw was built in 2012 and not sure how many hours are on it. It is a little dirty so i am checking it
over before i use it on my mill.

Yep, no outer plate. Just the two guides in the clutch cover.
Lemme know if you need a worm gear, I have a few left from my NOS stash.
