Stihl MS461 vs. MS462?

I am shopping for a new chainsaw. Ive come down to the Stihl MS461. Ive also seen that Stihl has released an MS462 model in Europe. Looks like it has the new M-tronic carb. Im wondering if I should go with the 461, or wait for the 462 to be available in the U.S.? any thoughts?

it may be a bit before the ms462/572xp saws are released in the us ..guess it depends on if you can wait a yearish.............. I am also looking forward to one or the other in the distant future ....

Might have to just get serious and get a 461. The 462 looks like a nice model tho.

I bought my 461 here, used (barely or not at all that I could tell) for $800 with a 32" B&C. Incredible saw, great price.

Locally there are 2 lightly used MS660 for sale also for $800. So shop around.

As far as the 462, I generally shy away from the brand new models of anything. There are bound to be bugs to be worked out, so you would essentially be a tester of the 462, maybe for as long as years.
