A popular question with no good answer. It seems to me that folks will buy anything on ebay at darned-near to retail. Heck, some lightly-used homeowner saws go for better than retail. I don't get it.

MS170 at local auction

We have a local festival in our very small town. Folks donate stuff to be auctioned and the local fire dept gets the money (I think)

It is a silent auction, clipboards.. you look at the clipboard and bid higher than the last person, then you win.

Anyway, the local STIHL dealer donated an MS170, the auction was 9am to 6pm. By noon it was at 150 so I did not bid.
