I am working on a Stihl 042 for a buddy. I have a problem I have never encountered before. Most times I can't get enough gas so I clean or rebuild the carburetor. This saw gets to much gas even with the jets turned in all the way it floods. I have had the carburetor off and everything looks fine the needle lever was flush not raised. I guess I will get a carb rebuild kit next. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this before and what they found out to fix the situation. Thanks......

You could try pressurising the fuel line into the carb to about 10psi and see if it holds. If it doesn't it points the way to your problem.
