straight gas seizure in big cc saw

I had a deal to buy a 3120.
Turns out it was straight gassed by a staff member and seized solid. This was only discovered when the owner went to check it out in advance of our meeting.

Likely hood of damage beyond just needing a new cylinder and piston?

What else might it need?

That’s probably it. Unless it ground up chunks or there is fine metal that got into the bearings, then it might need the case split.

Thanks for the feed back.

Having thought more about it, I think the guy got a higher offer, after agreeing to sell the saw to me and needed an out.

I offered to buy the saw despite the seizure but he didn't seem enthused about that...
