Is there any way to test the ignition module? I pulled the flywheel , and took it out. I do not have an contnuity between the 2 terminals, (the generator, and transformer). Is there supposed to be?

You're pretty much looking at one part, the coil.
You can check continuity from it to your boot.
Was your gap good between your rotor and the coil?
New plug?

When you put it back together just slide an index card between the magnets and the coil and then tighten it down and then remove the card.

You probably need a A-96798 module.

You can check a CDI with a simple voltage reducer like transister radios have to reduce house current to direct current voltage.
