Still chasing the fuel tank for a Shindaiwa 757 or 577 so look in yours sheds boys
Even a parts saw would do as long as the fuel tank dont leak
Peter

How's a fibreglass repair hold up once cured with petrol against it I wonder?
dont know chippy that why i thought i would ask the question
The fuel tank for the Shinny 757/577 which is inter changable to each other, is really hard to find so repairing it was another choice if it can be done
found a thread on here "3-M 8001 Weatherstrip and gasket glue...impervious to both gas and oil..!!"

You could try a product ( if I remember the name correctly) like or similar to "Tank Cream" , it just pours into the tank & forms a liner.
Fankski
Goes by a few different names but any good motocycle shop will have it ,I think there one for steel tanks and one for plastic ,I can vouch for the steel tank repairer, works great[emoji106]

Has any successfully welded a plastic fuel tank along the seam and where its broken
can it be done
peter

welding it can be done as long as its not a waxed plastic.

as for fiberglass it may bond to the plastic and it may not , i have used and would use reson named hetron 992 fr for fule tanks repair.
