This thread got me thinking.
Is there a good axe and/or maul made in the USA these days??:monkey:

somebody posted a good link to US made mauls, axe, and such. I believe you could order them right over the Internet. I'll try to find it.

Farmall Guy had good places to look, but also try consignment or estate auctions. Usually people just back up a trailer to the shed/garage and load up "all that useless junk". I was able to pick up a single and double bit ax heads for $2 each. (should of got those sledgehammer and splitting maul heads too...) The double bit was made by True Temper, I think, but $2 for the head and $8 for a hickory handle, I'm not out that much.
