Really nice late 1987 281 xp anniversary tagged top cover. same mechanical condition as the other 281 but nicer cosmetic condition. no guts in the clutch cover but if you know these early saws it was common for the op's to strip them because they didn't need no stinkin chain brake!, and as most of us know the metal flag working covers or guts if found are getting very pricy!! ......$450 plus shipping PHO

I'm being lazy, cus I'm tired tonight but is the 281 case the same as 288? I do not have any experience with such other than the 288 I just built.
 
281 is a 52 mm jug..maybe ??
288 is a 54mm jug
I believe most of the stuff should inter change else wise although some one will come along and correct me.
