Think you may have got the date wrong... also be careful those infrareds only red surface temp not air.
 
That'll sure dry the wood fast. I love splitting wood first thing in the morning only to find it still hot in the center from baking in the previous day's 90+ sun.
 
Cooled off here a lot, but that is only from the rain and thunderstorms. As soon as the sun comes out, back to tropical like humidity.
