first let me say i appreciate all the info u all have given me....hope i am not a PIA!!
when bucking, the bar on my ms 440 stays nice and cool. yesterday i was topping off some stumps to get them ready to grind out.....when the saw was cutting in that position (with powerhead at 90 degs) it seems the oil flow may be impeded? the chain and bar gets really hot real fast. i did crank up the oil flow and it was filled up with oil. some of the stumps were up to 24" and they were oak. my nice white bar now has a brown tinge to it
what am i doing wrong?
thanks
