I have two saplings that have suckers. The one has no green accept for the sucker. I am thinking maybe the main trunk is dead. The other is thriving and has small sucker. One of the trees I am going to prune the sucker but the other, I may let it grow and remove the main trunk later and make the new sucker the trunk. what do you think. These are cherry willows that I got on eBay. I planted them late last summer.
