232R...Flawless for 10 years.

T35 trimmer head most of the time. I run a grass blade a few times a year, and a clearing saw blade in the fall to knock down the willows and brush that grew up along my creek banks over the summer.

That's an Echo re-badged for Craftsman, going by the 636 prefix on the Who Made This Craftsman Product lists I found on the net. And the label does mention Made in Japan.

I'm a little surprised that Sears sold such a heavy-duty brush cutter. But not that surprised since at one time Sears sold big chainsaws, Poulan 5200 and Homelite 550 come to mind, as Craftsman chainsaws.

I worked on a few of those when I was with Sears Service in the mid 1990's. Test ran 'em in the vacant lot next to our shop. Heavy, but had tons of torque.

I was thinking that a 041 super engine in an fs410 might be pretty stout. It apears that trimmer/brushcutter uses the regular 041 engine. Well 72cc's would be crazy but fun.

There is an australien fellow with a website who has a ~90ccm chinese brusch cutter! That must be a heavy bastard!

Never intended to start collecting trimmers too, but upon sitting them all in one place, that seems to be what happened.

Had this one since '93-94. Oly 260. Couldn't ask for a better trimmer. Replaced fuel lines once and the clutch once. Weekly runner even still. Wish I could find another one. (I did see a Jonsered version @ the scraper not long ago, but was very busted.dang!)

Seemed to have acquired a trio of Echo 200's over the years...DA, BE, & CE(run a brush blade on this one.)

Pretty good runner after i cleaned the previous owners gas out of it... It was so dark with oil it looked like it was mixed 8-16:1. Trimmer doesn't smoke anymore though. Hehe. I like free!

Got a Stihl FS 85 at scrap yard for $10 but couldn't get a photo of it, is on bench taken apart at the moment for fuel lines and carb kit. :)
