A customer wants some minor trimming to her backyard apple trees and major trimming to some crabapples...I told her that the timing is not good, but she is insisent due to an upcoming social event. I initially agreed, but am having second thoughts about disease - LT probs. My Q(s): Are there any extra precautions that will help tree health? SHould I do the trimming anyway, with another warning, or let someone else get the job?
Appreciate the help!

I grew up in an apple orchard.
Thats more of a November job. I have taken a limb or two off during this time of year. If you do, paint over the limb stumps with white latex paint to seal it up. Apple trees can bleed out and die pretty easy.
