New to the Forum, not a chainsaw expert, but have messed around some with Stihl saws (carb kits, etc.).

Got this at a yard sale. Cleaned it up took apart some and got it running fairly well (but needs some more tweaking). Want to convert this TS760 Cut-off saw to an AV076 chainsaw. Might use for a sawmill.

Needs Oil pump I guess? What part numbers on the oil pump assembly?

Thanks!

This is doable with the parts, there is a detailed youtube video on doing just that in German, there are regular attendees on the 050 051 075 076 thread who will put you in the right direction for parts...good luck

Thanks Ben, I'll look for those videos on YouTube. Haha, I speak a little German from middle and high school classes, so might be able tounderstand a bit.

Found it (I think):

yes all the info is there and more info if you understand german! I don't know if he mentions that the cut off saws are limited to 6000 RPM so the trigger unit needs to have a chainsaw trigger unit installed. Others can advise on this. The automatic oilpump housing might be a challenge to get but aftermarket parts are available if you have a non working pump (saegenzpezi for example if they are currently shipping to the US) the internal oil pick up is available on e-bay, there are two choices either with or without the manual oiler. The manual oiler is a bit finniky and is frustrating if it doesn't work when you have split the case and reassembled everything so maybe skip that unless you want to run long bars.

is it not 6000 disc speed ? with a 2:1 belt ratio

That saw pictured would be doable it's drilled for oil pump and manual oilier some ts760 are not . on a saw mill I would use a remote oilier so you wouldn't need to split the case. but then any concrete saw that old probably needs new bearings
