Post this in the "Niks Poulan Thread" in the chainsaw stickies.

Tillotson, Walbro, Zama etc metering height can usually be found by using the carburetor model number and doing a Google search. Tillotson for example has PDF files availble for their carburetors.

Couple of other notes on metering height. ALWAYS measure where it is at IF you are replacing those parts. Some carbureetors require a measuring tool to get the new parts at the correct height. Many carbs are simply set level with the gasket surface. So pay close attention to where it's at BEFORE you remove any of the original parts.

You may also run into carburetors on high hour saws that will not work well at the factory height. It's not all that common but I've seen some that have wear in the hole around the needle and you have to compensate for it, or even replace the carburetor if you do everything right in the build and it still doesn't work any better than when you started on it.

Some models also use a check valve assembly in the main nozzle and that's a real showstopper if it's leaking. I run into that on the Echo CS-590/600P/620P's once in a while and keep a couple of extra nozzles on the shelf for them........
