DIY Gas Turbines. lol! I'm sure they don't post many pics of what happens when a compressor unglues itself explosively.

Yeah, that passenger is gonna have a headache. ;) Remember, eagles may soar, but weasel don't get sucked through jet engines.

:surprised3:
My son had the go-kart blueprint with the jet engine and everything...and I told him it couldn't be done. We built this instead:

I'm going to put the reverse switch on hold and work on a pulse-jet mount....

Well, looks like you got some beefy little motors there. Probably need something more high current than some 15 amp 30v rocker switch like they use on the little peg pergo toys. :D

This should do the trick.

Also remember, your DC motors are your brakes. Switch the terminals across say, a 200w 10 ohm resistor, and that should do it. ;) Just make sure the drive circuit isn't still feeding the motor current. :D

And if you wanna see some people doing it the wrong way, look at this. http://web.mit.edu/first/kart/#specs

Well, engineering kids, what can ya do? H bridges, cheap mosfets, and opto isolators. They enjoy pain. And lots of "magic smoke" escapage from what the docs say.

Old school SCR based PWM controllers are still the way to go. Even if they been used just about forever. lol!

A basic history of controller modules.
