My new ultimate 2 saw plan is a Stihl 200T and a 461.

We all know the 200T's deal, so no need to discuss that.

The 461 is a torque monster, but also a very broad and smooth powerband.

I ran a 441cm for 3 months and it was a smooth saw, good power, but in my opinion the 461 is a class leader, very impressive saw.

Depends, of course, on your perceived needs and the amount of cash you want to spread around.

I'm one of those firewooders who favor a 40 cc / 60 cc plan. That works out now to a RedMax GZ4000 and a Dolmar PS-6100. The 40 cc gets used for limbing/bucking the top down as far as possible, so the power and agility of the RedMax is appreciated. Then the Dolmar (still breaking in) gets all the rest of the bucking and what noodling is needed. Talk about wide power-band!

Another great 40 cc saw is the Dolmar 421. All these saws like serious exercise, are easy on the wallet and user-serviceable.

It's great to have many options.

Sounds good.to me!

My two saw plan is rather similar but contains seven different saws so far... Need at least two more at some point, one of which will be a 461

l think the OP has a great 2 saw plan! Nice short bar on the 461:). Although he would not be showing off his saws if he didn't like them so l would say he is possibly thinking of adding something to the fleet. That being said a ms261 would sit well in between the two that he has. Sometimes its nice to have a rear handle that is light and nimble for the small to medium wood, but by no means am l suggesting the OP is not on the right track. My first 2 saw plan was a 200t & ms261.

Not too many MS T00Ts left out there in that condition. Great saw, sweet deal!

I would leave out the 200 and get a echo 355 instead. Further I would couple that with a nice 60cc saw.
