yeah not a new concept...

I've seen a huge version of this "unicorn" screw mounted on a skid loader and driven by a hydro pump. Saw one that was brand new last year at the Iowa State Fair over by the impliments. At least with a skid loader you're protected in the cab and can drive up to stumps/logs and press the screw threw.

just google "Image" search log screw slpitter...

Here is the one I'm thinking off... HF100 for skid loaders

nice concept but the problem with that stumper is that it can only take down a 18-20 inch tree stump. What happens when you pay all that money and find yourself with a 50-60inch stump?

I have a screw type splitter that mounts to a chevrolet truck wheel. I haven't used it since I bought my hydraulic splitter. I have a welded table that I used with it.

It worked fine except my truck, an 81 3/4 ton, with a 350, used a BUNCH of fuel splitting wood.

I would sell it.....

Been awhile since I had my pto winch but couldn't he just run the pto in reverse?

PTO goes one way on every tractor I have seen. The deceased neighbor said he had a Massey which allowed reversing the PTO but I never saw it

Well I might be wrong but I assume it has different sized heads for different jobs. You would not need a 36" head on a 12'' stump. You size the head/bit for the job It is no different that my Danuser post digger with auger from 9" to 48". My concern is how many yards allow room for a 200HP tractor:msp_biggrin:
