still trying to get to dealer to try out 441c 0r 461,but again they close before i got off today....but i found 038 magnum for 350.00,what you think about them,is it fair price? it looks good and has 165 compression according to saler. how does it compare to 044,441c,ect......thank you

350 is a little steep unless it's a clean, low hours, complete unit.

Good ole' saws, just nothing like the newer stuff.

I have not run a 044 or 441 or 460 but I do have a 038mag2 it has more power than my 036pro obviously but it is heavy compared to even your 044 I think and would use more fuel too. I feel that for 350 it should be real nice...they have a big following but like a 028super they are just getting old...you could spend the 350 on your 044 and have a saw that is everything the 038 is and more!

Has about the same power as an 044 but weighs quite a bit more. They are great saws, built like tanks.

I had a 038magll and honestly couldn't tell the difference between. It and my 044 when cutting firewood. Only when cutting cookies couldn I tell the difference.
