Howdy Folks,

I was just wondering if you could use UV dye to check for leaking seals and such? I have an old truck thats leaking oil so I bought some dye and a light at Autozone. You can get the dye, light and glasses for under 10 dollars.

Not sure if it will work on a saw motor but might work, I'm thinking.

I have tried it for fuel leaks and crankcase leaks in an engine that I knew had a leak with no success. I even tried a smoke machine with UV tracer in the smoke, and I just couldn't get enough volume to leak out to find anything.
