Has anyone here replaced vermeer feed wheel bearings themselves? Or should I just take it to vermeer? My right feed wheel is falling slightly lower than my left and is starting to wear a hole through the feed table beneath it.

I have 1250 and i took it to vermeer. I think they can be pain to get out.

Im thinking it was like 1200. For both but they did some other work too.

I did the bearings on my 250xp feed wheels, it's a pretty major job but it saved me a lot of money doing it myself but you need to have plenty of tools and some idea of what you're doing. The cost at the dealer can get out of hand quickly if the bolts break off in the threads (they often do), or if the shaft on the feed wheel needs replacing or building up or the coupler is work etc. I haven't seen what the access is like on the bottom bolts for the vertical feed vermeer but I'm guessing it's unpleasant.
