Yup.

One thing I would do (not saying you have to) is get a piston with a wider skirt.
Is there a piston that will retrofit without a whole lot of machine work?
Well the 681 has a 52mm piston and a 12mm wrist pin, but I think a ms460 piston would work. A 272 piston might work but I'm not sure about the difference in pin to top measurement.
Thanks
Brad,
If you ever have a 441 for awhile again, let me know and I'll send you a BBN 441 to play with. I've sold just under 20 of them so far but, nobody has said anything one way or the other.
Regards
Gregg

Brad, will you or do you still have the 441 around to retest it against the reworked 681?
Let us know how it goes,
Sam
I'm quite aggrevated. I went back out this evening and made a new video. I got home only to realize I hadn't captured cutting cookies from that same log. I cut back past those knots and cut at least 1/2 cookies at different loads, and different tuning. Oh well. You can clearly see in the noodling shot that it's definately holding more RPMs in the cut. That's what I was after. I raised the transfers another 5° and widened them considerably. I just wish I had the cut times to compare to the other saws. Maybe tomorrow, lol.

How many CC's is that 681 Brad? Isn't it a tad bigger than the 7900 making it around 80cc???
I believe it's 81cc. Same basic saw though.
IMHO I think it's a better saw than the 440/460.opcorn:
