Trying to diagnose a leak on my hda-48 carb.
originally found gas leaking by the throttle inlet. Took it apart and put some jb weld around where it sits on the carb body. Put it all back together and rebuilt it. The leak from the fuel inlet was fixed. When I pressure test it to test the pop off pressure it’s got a fast leak. I put it under water and found that the pump side is leaking air when pressurized at two different sides of the plate. I tried several different gaskets (new and old) with new screens and the screw holding the pump plate is snugged down tightly. I had an extra pump side plate which I tested with as well with no success. Thinking about junking it and just getting a new carb at this point.
I had another old hda48 which is doing the same thing.
