rebuilding the carb on my craftsman/roper 3.7. its a walbro SDC-73. this is a bastard carb that has an accelerator pump (walbro diaphragm part no. 95-44) on the side of the carb. this is in addition to the normal meter and pump on the ends. this component, , is NLA. this same component is used on the following walbro SDC carbs:

1 - Homelite XL101, 102, 103, 104
12 - Homelite 700, 800, XL901/700/800/800AM/850/900E/VL900EMA
21 - Homelite XL 122/123/113/114
23 - Homelite XL 913/913M/914M/913FP
25 - Homelite XL 113/114/112
26 - Homelite XL 400AV, XL400Auto FP
27 - Homelite XL 923/921/924
28 - Homelite XL 400Dom./400Auto
31 - Homelite XL 123
32 - Homelite XL 123
67A - Roper CJD Sears Saw
81 - Homelite VI-130
81A - Homelite VI-130.

sorry for the long post but i know some of you guys have some of these saws. i need to either find a source for this illusive part or determine which carb will swap in. anyone got any ideas?
thanks, jerry

Are you needing the carb or just that part of the carb?

i've cleaned the carb in my usc and have all the other pieces so i'm thinking i just need that part. however, we all know how old carbs are; sometimes they resist cleaning.
on the other hand if the carb you have is a runner i may be interested.

One thing on the SDC is the main metering check valve can go bad and that thing don't come in the kits. Neither do the accell. pump diaphram of late.

When you drill the welsh plugs, drill them off center.

I'll have to loolk but, I may have one SDC leftover from my XL-101 binge.

Carl.

"I'll have to look but, I may have one SDC leftover from my XL-101 binge."

A lot of us are guilty of some kind of saw binge ( or maybe a tool binge ).

Its hard for the women to understand why we need 1 more of something we already have 2 or 3 of.

Yeah, but just look in a woman's closet. A man couldn't wear that many outfits in his lifetime.

numbers on the saw are 917 353750

I'll pull the carb this afternoon.
