Do they work better for noodling on an ms461?

Maybe marginally. Someone can confirm if they're a little wider than the regular one, but they're also taller, which doesn't help any. If you want to clear noodles better, buy an aftermarket regular cover and trim the back up toward the sprocket. Also, be careful not to get your fingers near there. Don't use a cover like that on a saw with a wrap.
