what are the different types of chain

I dont have alot of knowlege in the chain dept so i was wondering what the purposes are for the different kinds of chain???? I currently bought a new husky 345 so thats what i'll will be using for homeowner and light commercial work

The common profiles are chisel, micro chisel, and semi chisel.

The chisel is fastest cutting in clean wood, semi-chisel cuts slower but stays sharp longer in less than perfectly clean wood. Micro chisel is a compromise between the two.

Most likely your 345 is set up with Oregon 95VP which is a micro chisel chain.
