What is this? Says sears but has no numbers

I found 917.62811 to look like it, seems to be different colors and gear driven,

Probably. 917 is the Sears prefix for Ropers & some David Bradley’s.

358 is the prefix for being Poulan manufactured.

Roper, neat saw. Worth repairing and running. Lots of direct drive variants of those saws out there the gear drives are much rarer.

Did you look under the air filter cover? Most of those Ropers had the model numbers there. That green is the original color. Most of those used the more common AH47 engines.

So I looked under the cover there’s only a 5502h under there

It was worth a look, like i said a lot of Ropers had a tag there.

This is probably your saw, but they made a lot of basically the same saws with different model numbers because of small differences

5502h sounds like a Roper part number.
