Came with my $50 066. No chains so I need DL and I believe it is .063 gauge? What would this bar be good for on an 066, roots, stumping?

That hard nosed bar is really good for "bore cutting"..and is fine for overall use...

As they are expensive..I sure wouldn't be using it for roots and stumping..!!!

$50 for a 066RL, 25" bar and chain, 16" hardnose bar, looking good, and running great. At this cost it could be a one use saw:msp_w00t:!!

You could throw 404 on there just for fun!?!?!? :msp_w00t::msp_w00t::msp_w00t::msp_w00t::msp_w00t:

Anyhow it doesn't matter what pitch you put on as long as you match the 0.063 guage. And for future reference you can look on Stihl bars and find the guage by the "U 1.6" on the bar. That means 1.6mm guage~0.06299inches and since it's a duromatic tip you can run whatever pitch you want as long as it matches the sprocket.

I don't have any .063 chain right now but I know where to get some NOS windsor 3/8 semi-chisel and we can spin a chain for the GTG...

I thought about that but would need to get a rim and everything. Semi-chisel with a 16" bar on a 90cc saw, what fun is that? What would a loop run me?

duratips are used for cuttin dirty stuff most of the time, and semi is better to keep an edge in dirty stuff. I'll have to call my guy. I'm sure it wouldn't be terrible as I'm buying the rest of the .063 roll from him... less than $1/bar inch I would imagine... my cost = ur cost... but I should include the use of the trailer... So maybe free! I'll let you know...

PS: 404 rims are like $6 and if you get an 8pin 404 you'd really be spinnin wood like CRAZY!!!!

Still don't have a chain for this bar but thinking it is more suited for the new 034 Super I picked up rather than the 066.

When are you down this way again? I've got tons of spare rims and can spin you whatever chain you need.

Seems like I have an 8pin 404, but not sure if its the right one for ur rim. I'm sure we can find some 063 gauge chain and a rim.
