Fellas, Im thinking of getting rid of one or the other? I dont know which one to keep. I find myself grabbing the MS261(which is basically brand new) most the time for jobs around the house. I will grab the MS361(which is old and shows it age but runs strong) for jobs the 261 cant really handle. I have a 18in bar on the 261, and a 20in bar on the 361. I like both saws alot but I feel like I dont need both...some guidance or opinions needed please!

It is against the law to get rid of a saw. You should be asking what other kind of saw you should get. I would keep the the 261 and sell the 361 as they are highly sought after and can bring higher than new money!!!!!

your 261 can be made to run with the stock 361. then you will have the best of both worlds. small 50cc package with bigger 60cc performance

I would recommend that you keep them both, and sell me the 2100....

WHA????:msp_scared: when did the 2100 get thrown in that senerio? For you...the husky will cost $10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.99 plus tax.:msp_biggrin:

The saw we used most in our firewood operation was the 361 with a 18" bar/8 pin and MM now that we've had the 261's the 361 is used less and less, I would sell the the 361 and send the saw to Terry Landrum or Mastermind or Tree Monkey and the 261 will prolly cut with a stock 440.

With a few mod's the 261 will OUT RUN the (stock) 361 :msp_wink:

I found this out this past summer and then when I ran both saws together a few weeks back it confirmed it :msp_wink:

That would be sweet if that 261 will pull a 20inch bar and not blink a eye. It would be my favorite saw of all time!! LOL...I will need to start getting quotes from the master builders!

Here in the PNW the 261 comes with either 18" or 20" b/c :msp_wink:
