what would you pay for an 029/ms290?

The last ones I sold around the Atlanta area I got $225 for. The 029 is a smaller engine than the 029 super which shares the same 56cc engine as the MS290. I've seen higher prices lately.

I typically sell the 039/MS390 versions for $360 ish depending on how they're configured. Those have a new bar/chain on them and are typically rebuilt with a Farmertec top end.
I had an MS310 on CL for $290 (all OEM) and it didn't sell but that was in the heat of the Georgia summer. If I reposted it, probably would sell quickly. I've got a bunch of saws I need to sell but haven't had time to post them.

Ain't difficult either.

But as others have mentioned the Echo 590 as an alternativ, I would also see the Echo 490 fall into the same recomendation field. Slightly detuned version of the 500 but with still a bunch of goodies (mag housing, etc.) for a great price!
