was out cutting today and decide to drop this old black locust (didnt realise it was hollow for about 15feet up droped on the ground started cutting it up and there was a coon in it

Saturday I was flipping through a history book of a nearby town and they mentioned the name of "Bear Tree Brook" came from a hollow tree along the brook the early settlers discovered a black bear living in.

i was digging out dirt with my hand when i noticed there was fur in the log i bet it had a fun ride down i cut the log within about 5"of where it was holed up with my 288 and it didnt move till i tipped the log up
