(Meteor/ cabor) the old cylinder is clean with the exception of a little scoring below the intake. The piston is bar- coded bad on the intake side and pock marked/ melted on top. Curious if the cylinder is any good and what caused the major malfunction. Straight gassed? Also the felt filter was pretty plugged up.

Thanks

I didn’t check the bearings over real well. The bottom looked so clean. And than I read the post where the guy sells the 372 and the new owner had problems (great thread) and it got me thinking and concerned a little. Maybe we’ll rip it back apart to play it safe. I’m a little concerned that the cylinder bolts might be a little long also. How about the marks below the intake, I can feel it slightly.

Still wondering about the original cylinder though, I would prefer to reuse it if it’s ok.the ring is always above the two marks below the intake. I can feel them slightly with my fingernail though.
