a 460 with a ported top end on it (hint, hint) waiting for the rain to subside, so i can put er to some wood...

Waiting on it to quit raining?!!! I dropped a 32-36" Oak with the new 084 and limbed it with the new 440 last night. A few blasts of compressed air, and they look like new again. Some things just can't wait:clap: Hey, the 440 is setup west coast style, so I figured it was only appropriate to break it in in west coast style weather:)

Dolmar 133

A Sachs Dolmar 133 that I picked up as a parts saw. It was mostly there…..had to steal a carburetor from a 123 donor and installed a set of new rings. It fired right up but kept quitting after a few minutes of running. I was worried that it was the coil but the plug was dry and had spark. I robbed the fuel tank breather valve from the 123 and the saw runs fine but leaks mix when it is on its side. I wonder if the valves are still available from Dolmar?

Dolmar 120, 123 & 133x2
Makita 520i
Stihl 015 top handle (needs a coil)

A Vortech T trim supercharger, a set of Trick flow CNC renegade ported heads, a custom grind blower cam and a Freak sheet metal intake.......

You're sharpening 30 chains without a grinder:confused: I can't imagine:dizzy:

Just got them today. When my buddy has a ground guy rock one he throws it in the truck and gets another new one out. Been researching grinders for the past hour or so.

My bench is packed with stuff for me to do! I have (2) Mac 250's up there, the one runs the other I was just trying to get going today, needs a fuel line first and then we'll see. I a 024 that I'm messing with, that'll be my first port job, along with the new 880 I was srewing with Muff modding today. Then I have a 7900 pipe that needs finished welding and a couple other little aluminium projects that need finished as soon as my TIG is fixed. And yes that is all on my bench at the moment:(

i do very little what i would consider "mojor" work on my saws. last thurs,i sandblasted our jd 850c dozer, and it is getting a complete repaint. and i am also i the process of building a 5.9 cummins, for my BIL pro stock pulling truck. it has been quite an ordeal. we have had down to muncie on the dyno, haven't found the sweet spot yet. hoping for 1100-1200 hp,the dyno thing is getting expensive @ 100.00hr,plus travel time.

I'll have to add a pic tomorrow, but I've got two 10mm 044's scattered all over my bench with oil and saw filth mixed. Trying to see if I have enough major parts to make one nice saw out of the two with just a new piston and gaskets and seals.....It's looking good!!:)

I'm going to bite the bullet and make my first attemp at a woods port on this saw......I'm sure I'll be back with more questions. :monkey:

No saws, but added a grinder today

Managed to talk the local NT store manager into selling me his Oregon 511a display model. It looked like it was intact. Got it for $225, guess I saved a little on it, although I think retail was only $299. He told me his cost was $199.

So I'll use the Oregon for the cutters and the NT will be for depth gauges unless I start using it for .325 instead.

i picked up a 044 friday. i have a new piston ordered and i am doing fuel line, vent and carb kit while its apart. it should be finished by the weekend.
i tore into a 440 i have had since last summer and found it probably needs a crank. i can probably save the piston looks ok,though i will probably replace it since the rings were rusted to the groove (got them out and everything looks ok, just don't want to risk it at this point). the cylinder is perfect.
put a 55 back together today with an AM P/C and found it needs seals.
i put a 290 together last week and ran it for a second. when i peered into the muffler i noticed a small score on the piston. i assume i missed some depost. i hope to get back into it this week.
i have a 510 that is completed except for some odd and end screws. they should be here tues and it will be finished in about 10 minutes.
i got a replacement carb float for the KA 211. i want to drop it in and see if that gets it running. if not, i may need to replace the coils even though they have spark.

looks like i don't have much to do this week. i might watch some March Madness.
