Just as the title says, by what date did the 562xp have all tye bugs worked out? I just aquired a 2012 model. What carb is desired? I have noticed no hesitation or any issues.

good question ... I have a 2013 562xp with an EL46 carb that has no problems.

The latest EL48 carb supposedly fixes the bog off idle issues some had. Not sure the dates they started with the EL48. I`m all ears.

I believe the EL48 was anything after week 14 of 2014. Saw Troll posted it somewhere, I just can't seem to find the link. I remember because, before getting my 562XP, I made sure it had the EL48. I ended up with a week 19 saw if I'm interpreting the serial number correctly. Dealer had no idea what I was talking about when looking for the EL48 but still let me go through his inventory until I found one.

I bought mine in Aug., 2013 with an EL46. It had bog & other problems. For a complete & detailed description see the thread entitled, "562XP questions". That carb was replaced with another EL46, & the bog problems continued as before. The 2nd EL46 was replaced with an EL48 somewhere around late 2014 or early 2015. Problems solved!! It has been a "runnin' screamin' demon" since then!!

Did any of the carb experts discover what was actually different with the improved EL48 compared to the EL44/46? It may help some upgrade their not so perfect carb by a simple mod. FWIW l have a 555 2013 and it spools up near instantly. I was suprised never to hear of bogging/stumble issues with the 555 compared to the 562. One would think they have the same carbs being of the same displacement but I'm only guessing that this was the case.

Hmm. Yes would be nice to know what is different about the carbs. Is it a fuel shortage that causes the issue? Is it electronic? Does anyone know?
