Bit of scotchbrite and elbow grease and you should be good to go!

Yeah it’s an air leak in the flywheel side seal. 026 stihl. Any suggestions for good AM cylinder/piston? Meteor/hyway/other?
I would go with a used OEM cylinder and a Meteor or Hyway piston. I have an OEM cylinder if you need it.

Use an angle grinder to smooth it
Yeah it’s not the worst I’ve seen but still pretty bad. It came off a saw that’s been in operation 40 years, with only one top end, as a firewood saw. I want to fix it and get it back for another 40 years, since it hasn’t been molested.
I cleaned it up with some scotchbrite so I could see the bore better and it has some light marks in it but I can't feel them with my finger.
Is there any difference in power getting 44 vs the 44.7?
