wood id please?

I'd be interested if anybody could identify those pieces with those terrible pictures. I certainly can't. Take some pics of an unmolested log. And hold your phone very still.

Pics of any bark or a shot of the end grain would be a lot easier to ID. Otherwise, it just looks like firewood to me! :msp_tongue::smile2:

If that is bark in the 3rd pic, then I might guess at some type of maple(red or silver), but, really, it's just a guess...
