Wood Week 09: Felling vol 1

Last week was my yearly trip with my Dad and Uncle to get firewood. Here are a few pics of the felling action.

Basically we go after trees that either are dead or are likely to be broken off in the next good wind storm and may damage other healthy trees.

This one is a maple that would could damage a neighboring tree, so we directed it to a better location (our wood pile).

Here's another Maple that broke off up the hill. I got a few shots of Dad in action on this one...
