I'm going to look at a woodchuck 1200 hyroller tomorrow. Got a few questions.

First the guy doesn't know anything about it, not even the year. the number on the frame is 4G200903. I'm thinkin it looks like a 03. Can anybody tell me from that info or tell me were to look to find the year?

Any typical problems they run into or are they pretty good chippers?

Its a Diesel with 800 hours looks real clean for 6500 sound like a deal to you guys?

Thanks

Joe

Woodchuck/Altec

Joe,

I would call Altec with the serial number and verify the year. I hear the knives can take a lot of time to change on the newer models. It does sound like a good deal and since the owner doesn't know anything about it, he may have purchased it at an auction. If it has all of the safety bars, it can be hit by limbs and stop the chipper from feeding.

Hope this helps!
